Pick up from the airport to the Hotel or Riad
After breakfast we explore Marrakech (the red city of Morocco) and you will see many historical and cultural sites, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, and the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the main square we will take a walk through the souks and the rest of the day will be at your leisure.
Visit Moroccan’s charming Atlantic port of Essouira. On the way from Marrakech we will visit an Argan co-operation which shows the ways to produce Argan products. On the arrival to Essaouira immerse yourself in the historical port town-a melting pot of Berbers, Africans and Portuguise - take a guide tour of the harbor and 18th century sea fort, and explore the old medina with its colourful markets and jewelry quarter. Finally, enjoy free time to have a lunch and browse the souks for souvenirs before back to Marrakech.
An adventure across the high Atlas mountains to Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou. Travel across the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass 2.260 metres (7.410 feet) above the sea. See Berber villages and enjoy the changing of landscapes on our way. Arrive to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site, and Ouarzazate, the gate of the desert and noted film making location. Then pass through Valley of Roses which is known due to it Roses’s Festival. The later is our final stop for the day, we will stay overnight in a hotel which includes dinner and breakfast in Dades Gorges.
From Boumalene Dades we head to Merzouga through the Berber village Tinghir. Visit to Todra Gorges where the cliffs are as high as 600 metres and only 10 metres apart. We leave Tinghir going to Erfoud and Rissani there we will have lunch (Pizza Berber). After lunch we continue our way to Merzouga where we will start our cameltrekking to the middle of Erg Chebbi dunes overnight in a Berber camp. The cameltrek takes 1h 30 minutes from the hotel to the camp. The camp are well equipped and provides mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner we gather round the fire and enjoy the desert night perhaps with traditional Berber music.
After breakfast we’ll sit off for Erg Chebbi, Merzouga, enjoying the desert landscapes. We take a tour around Erg Chebbi dunes by Jeep. We will visit Ghnawa music house, originally from Ghana and sub saharian countries. We visit also some desert mines, Berber nomads and oasis of Palm trees. Toward lunch time we go back to Merzouga.
After breakfast we leave Merzouga on the way to Fez. Passing through many villages Erfoud, Ziz Valley, Errachidia, Medilt, Cedar Forest of Azrou, Ifrane and Fez. On a good day you might see and take pictures of the appes monkeys which live in the forest. We will stop for lunch along the way in one restaurant, our guide or driver will make sure you reach your chosen hotel or Riad in Fez.
Leaving your hotel at around 9 am with your guide who will take you for a walk inside the old medina, also to see Mellah with it intense atmosphere and fine example of Mauro-Hispanic architecture. Then you drive to the Borj Sud to see a wonderful panoramic view of the medina. Then visit to Tanneries on the bank of the Oued Fes, despite the strong smell of the souk its considers one of the tradiotional market in Morocco. You continue on through es-Seffarine and its brass workers, down the colorful es-Sebbaghine with its street of the Dyers, and souk el-Atterine area of spices and groceries to the exterior of the impressive al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and university and the el-Atterine Medersa (entrance fee included). This is considered one of the wonders Moorish architectures, built between 1323 and 1325 by Merinid Sultan Abou Said Othman. You pass by the tomb of Moulay Idriss the second Idrissed ruler, considered to be founder of Fes, built in the 18th century and restored in the mid-19th century.
