9 days Tangier to Marrakech

DAY 1: TANGER – CHEFCHAOUEN.

Today we start our 9 days Tangier to Marrakech towards Chefchaouen. It is a lovely village and its houses are all painted in blue and white. We will get a chance to get various panoramic pictures of the medina followed by a free program in the village of Chefchaouen. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

DAY 2: Chefchaouen-Ouazzane-Fès.

   After breakfast, we will drive towards Fes passing by Ouazzane city, and we will have a chance to see Volubilis the Roman ruins, then drive to Meknes there will have time to see Bab Mansour one of the biggest gates in Morocco and also more historical areas around Meknes city. Then drive directly to Fes, overnight in Fes.

DAY 3: FES GUIDED TOUR.

Today our 9 days Tangier to Marrakech start to explore the oldest city of Fes in a Day trip with Nomadic Tribes Tours, Our Departure will be from your hotel or Location after you take your breakfast. Then you drive to the Borj Sud to see a wonderful panoramic view of the medina. Then visit Tanneries on the bank of the Oued Fes, despite the strong smell of the souk it considers one of the traditional markets in Morocco.

Old city Explorations

You continue on through es-Seffarine and its brass workers, down the colorful es-Sebbaghine with its street of the Dyers, and souk el-Attarine area of spices and groceries to the exterior of the impressive al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and university and the el-Attarine Medersa (entrance fee included). This is considered one of the wonders of Moorish architecture, built between 1323 and 1325 by Merinid Sultan Abou Said Othman. You pass by the tomb of Moulay Idriss the second Idrissed ruler, considered to be the founder of Fes, built in the 18th century and restored in the mid-19th century.

DAY 4: FES – IFRANE – ERFOUD – RISSANI – MERZOUGA.

Our Morocco 9  days tour from Tangier continues to the desert. We will start from your location in Fes. In the morning we travel to Ifrane, named the Switzerland of Morocco Due to its amazing atmosphere and nature, also the shape of its building is completely western style. There we will stop for a short time to enjoy the beauty of the city and then continue our desert Merzouga trip.

We also stop in the cedar forest at the small village of Azrou where we may have an opportunity to see the app’s monkey and amazing views of Cedar trees.  Then our 3 days trip will continue to Midelt where you will have Lunch.

After lunch, we will continue to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. You will be traveling through the fascinating Tizi Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Valley, taking in views of the High Atlas plateaus. You’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia.

Afterward, you will drive along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. You will arrive at Merzouga in the late afternoon, and overnight in a local hotel or Riad.

DAY 5: MERZOUGA DESERT TOUR.

Today is almost spent in the Erg Chebbi desert of Merzouga. We begin our Camel riding after breakfast, which will bring you through beautiful sand dunes to the village of Merzouga.  When you arrive at the village then you will drive to explore and off-roading adventure by Jeep, this will be such an amazing time and drive which will allow you to explore the magic of Berber nomads and their lifestyles, also will help you to get amazing ideas about how life in the desert was and still today. On our way, we stop to have tea with a nomadic family for a moment. We also mean to discover more about the lives of these friendly people.

Then you continue the drive to discover the nomadic life of Berber/Amazigh people in which we make a short visit to Khamliya village: where time remains seemingly unchanged. We can eat lunch in Khamlia village or go back to the hotel as you wish.. In the late afternoon then we prepare for a desert camel ride. We will be guided by an experienced desert camel guide to cross the magic dunes of Merzouga, and we explore sand dunes. Before we reach Merzouga desert camp we will have time to enjoy the wonderful sunset and colorful sand dunes, then we continue to the camp.

Dinner will be served at the camp.  During your stay in the desert camp, you will be able to explore the magic of the desert silence and wonderful views of golden sand dunes and the sun. You will enjoy Berber music and we stay tonight in Berber desert tents in Merzouga Sahara.

DAY 6: MERZOUGA – ERFOUD – TODRA GORGES – DADES GORGES.

    Our 9 days tour Tangier to Marrakech will continue today to Bomalen Dades. after breakfast in the camp, you will ride back to the village. After a short pause, you will continue to Rissani Village. It’s famous for its local market, which is considered the oldest and biggest market in Morocco local market in Morocco. You will have a chance to discover other cultures and traditions. You will continue to Alnif which is famous for its fossils and amazing landscapes of black mountains.

After a stop in the village for lunch, we continue to Toudra George. You will have a chance to walk and discover the beauty of the Canon. Toudra valley, with its high cliffs and fresh water in the river. After this short refreshing stop, we will continue to Bomalen Dades, Overnight in Bomalen Dades.

DAY 7: DADES GORGES – VALLEY OF ROSES- OUARZAZATE- MARRAKECH.

After breakfast, our departure to Boumalne-Dades has begun. All the way to Kelaa M’Gouna, famous by Roses. You will pass along the valley to reach Ouarzazate. In Ouarzazate, we will have a chance to visit Taourirt-Kasbah. You will visit the Kasbah and movie attractions. You will take the road to Kasbah-Ait Benhaddou. UNESCO categorized World Heritage Site. With your guide, you will explore and visit the attractive Kasbah Of Ait Ben Haddou. You will continue the journey to Marrakech via Tizi-N-Ticha Pass.

DAY 8: MARRAKECH GUIDED TOUR.

Our 9 days Tangier to Marrakech begin from your accommodation. You start the journey of exploration with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. He will take you to discover one of the oldest imperial cities of Morocco. It is known as the first touristic destination in Morocco and in the world.

In the morning, you’ll visit the famous Palais de Bahia. Famous for its fantastic courtyards and mosaic walls built for Bou Ahmed. Stroll through the Jewish Quarter and notice the difference in architecture in this district. You will Visit the hidden Saadian tombs built-in 1557.

You’ll arrive at the Koutoubia mosque and the Djemaa el Fna square. You can drink fresh-pressed orange juice. Observing the bustle of the snake charmers, henna tattoo artists, and water sellers. You will Explore Lunch will be served in a restaurant of your choice in the heart of the medina. In the afternoon you will explore the wonderful history of the famous Majorelle Garden.

Discover more about French designer Yves Saint Laurent. He restored the garden architecture through the shady streets. You will learn more about the origins of the fantasy of exotic plants. A landscape garden designed by French artist Jacques Majorelle. Late afternoon we drop you back at your accommodation.

DAY 9: MARRAKECH.
